Join the West Dumbartonshire Council Place and Design Panel; a new venture in early engagement and impartial, objective dialogue with upcoming development. The Place and Design Panel will play a key role in raising the quality of design development, improving the health, well-being, aspirations and economic fortunes of West Dunbartonshire.
You will be joining the council at an exciting time with a number of our waterfront sites being progressed such as; Queens Quay, the historic former home of the John Brown’s Shipyard which built ships such as the QE2, Queen Mary; and Dumbarton Waterfront set in the shadow of Dumbarton Castle and Rock.
West Dumbartonshire Council are looking for inspiring professionals, experienced professionals or those recently retired in the following professions; architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, town planning, civil/structural engineering, sustainability and planning.
Historians and artists and those with skills in areas such as; conservation, heritage, ecology, police liaison are invited to apply. However, we welcome applications from any other such skills that will add value in delivering a better quality environment with an emphasis on design excellence.
