Eight teams entered the competition and six submitted proposals. Judging and presentation of awards took place on Wednesday, 28th September 2016 at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow.

The event was a sell-out. After a thoughtful and thorough introduction by Acting Chair Rachel Tennant, members and guests sat enthralled by an excellent presentation by Diarmaid Lawlor Head of Place at AD+S. Prizes were presented by Karen Cunningham of RIAS and Director of the Festival of Architecture. All Judges, speakers and presenter of awards have been thanked for their contribution
Winner of the Festival Award was the team of Keith Horner and Neil Gillespie OBE.
First runner up were James Trevers with Nicky Thomson and Rowan Mackinnon-Pryde. Second runners up were Gerard O’Brien and Amie Jane Routledge – they also won the popular vote held during the ensuing brief exhibition. The winning entry has been retained for display at the December FOA exhibition.
