Wardie Bay Community Work – a Year of Coasts and Waters Case Study

Submitted by Wardell Armstrong

Following last year’s efforts during the Wardie Bay beach clean with the Marine Conservation Society, the Wardell Armstrong Landscape Architecture Teams spent their annual summit day looking into various ways to tap into the potential of our urban ‘wild’ spaces. Considering the unique historic breakwater, abundant wildlife and the tram developments on the horizon, the teams came up with their own proposals and led discussions about the importance of designing safe, attractive and active spaces for the public. As Landscape Architects we are continuously pushing to protect local landscapes and enable people and nature to thrive in local open spaces.
