Scotland’s Scenic Routes Competition, Phase Two Winners Announced

AJ 18-07-14The winners of the Second Phase of Scotland’s Scenic Routes Competition, a project to involve young architects and landscape architects in the development of a series of interventions along Scotland’s most scenic paths, have been announced. 

The winners and Highly Commended Entries for the two selected sites are:

Cairngorms National Park, view point on the A939 Cock Bridge to Tomintoul Road overlooking Congarff Castle and Ben Avon:

Winner: John Kennedy, “The Watchers”

Highly Commended: Ruairidh Moir, “Na Criochan”

Caledonian Canal, Laggan at the northern top of Loch Lochy in the Great Glen:

Winner: Sean Douglas and Gavin Murray “Harbour Rest”

Highly Commended: Melissa Lawson and Ross Aitchison “Forest Loch Reflection”
