Children in Scotland in association with The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland, as part of the Festival of Architecture 2016, has announced an international competition for excellence in architecture and design for children and young people. Awards will be presented under four categories: Health, Home, Learning, Play, alongside an ‘Our Space’ award, voted for by the general public.
Submissions are sought for the ‘Our Space’ award, a special category inviting entries from the professionals and communities who see first-hand the benefits of a well designed space for children and young people. The space can be anything and anywhere, as long as it is loved and well-used.
The award will be presented at an official dinner in November 2016.
The winning entry will be showcased at:
- An exhibition at the Making Space 2016 Award ceremony and conference on 28-29 November 2016 at the Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow, Scotland
- An exhibition in March 2017 at the Lighthouse, Glasgow, Scotland.
Deadline for submissions: 5pm GMT, Friday 16 September 2016.
