LIS AGM: Getting there

As you may well be aware, the LIS AGM is this Wednesday – the 27th of April. You can find full details of the event here and if you haven’t booked your free ticket to the event you can do so at Eventbrite.

Train travel between Glasgow and Edinburgh is currently suffering delays due to maintenance works, so for your information, we are providing you with a list of trains that can be taken in order to arrive on time for the AGM in the hopes of minimising the number of people who miss out on parts of the evening:

  • 16:17 from Glasgow Queen Street (Arrives at 17:28)
  • 16:31 from Glasgow Queen Street (Arrives at 17:40)
  • 16:38 from Glasgow Queen Street (Arrives at 17:50)
  • 16:40 from Glasgow Queen Street (Arrives at 17:58)
  • 16:48 from Glasgow Queen Street (Arrives at 17:58)
  • 17:01 from Glasgow Queen Street (Arrives at 18:06)
  • 17:08 from Glasgow Queen Street (Arrives at 18:25)

Train tickets can be bought at the station or online, there is also a regular bus service between the two cities. As far as the LIS is aware, this is the only route where major disruptions can be expected to travel times, but if you are coming from further afield do make sure to leave plenty of time for your journey as it would be a shame for you to be late.

Welcome drinks start at 18:00, the introduction to the AGM will start at 18:45. The event will be held in the Hunter Lecture Theatre at the Edinburgh College of Art.
