LETTER FROM MARK SMEEDEN CHAIR LI YORKSHIRE AND HUMBER BRANCH TO BRANCH CHAIRS
Dear fellow Branch Chairs,
The forthcoming EGM is giving rise to significant debate amongst members. I think that it is great credit to our Institute that we are having such a vigorous exchange of views whilst remaining polite! However there is a somewhat of a disparity in the exchange of information with those who wish to reverse the decision of the 2014 AGM vote, including the President e-mailing every member directly and posting on the LI website, and the Vice President sending personal messages for dissemination by Branches. Those who are keen to see the AGM resolution implemented have to content themselves with Talking Landscapes and with 700 words in the forthcoming edition of Vista.
Please help to keep this debate open and informed by circulating the attached letter to your members. If you would like to talk to me about the content of the message or the vote, my contact details are below.
(LIS Note: The attached letter contains Mark Smeeden’s Key Points, a Link to the debate on Talking Landscape and Robert Holden’s Analysis of the Presidents Ten Points based upon the Office Relocation Working Group’s Report and the 2014 AGM Motion)
