Japanese Gardens talk

Yoko Kawaguchi, will be coming to Edinburgh and make two presentations on aspects of Japanese gardens to the Japanese Gardens Society. Yoko lectures on Japanese Garden History and has written a number of books on the subject. Full details of the meeting are as follows:-

DATE – Saturday 14 September 2019
TIME – 13.30pm 
VENUE – The event will be held in the Studio Theatre which is within the Augustine United Church, 41 -43 George 1V Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1EL
13.30 -Welcome and Introduction by Julia Rayer Rolfe, Chair of the Japanese Garden Society in Scotland.
Presentation by Yoko Kawaguchi on the Importance of Landscape in Japanese Garden Design.
14.30 – Break for Tea & Coffee
15.30 – Presentation on the Dry Landscape Garden (also known as the Zen Garden style).
16.30 – Close and Vote of Thanks by Alan Armour, Treasurer of the Japanese Garden Society in Scotland

There will an opportunity for Questions & Answers from the audience at the end of each presentation.
The cost will be £18 per person.
