Voting for Vice President & Advisory Council
Vote to ensure Your Interests are represented
In the analysis of the proxy voting by branch for the LI 2014 AGM, 46 out of 306 eligible LIS members voted. This was a good percentage compared to other Branches, but poor in relation to total numbers of members in LIS. Given the importance of voting in determining the future direction of the LI it is vital that we increase the number of members voting to ensure that your interests are appropriately represented. Voting is easy and does not take much time.
In this instance and as pointed out at the recent LIS AGM, Peter Huchinson the candidate for Vice President is co-chair of LINI and is well aware of the needs of members in the devolved nations. Marc van Grieken, an LIS member and candidate for the Advisory Council, is well aware of the needs of Scottish members. Amongst other things you may wish to take these points into consideration when reviewing the statements and looking at nominators before voting.
The LIS Committee urges you to Vote before 31 May 2015
