The Green Plan It Challenge is a programme for secondary school students aged between 12-14 to creatively connect with and be inspired by horticulture. The mentor’s role is to guide a group of 6 young people through the ten week challenge, sharing their knowledge about plants and providing an insight into the horticulture industry. This year’s Challenge is being run from Edinburgh but we are looking for mentors to support schools signed up from across Scotland – in particular, Ayrshire, Inverclyde, Renfrew, Lanarkshire, Linlithgow, Fife and East Lothian. Please see the full description of the mentorship role here.
Details and a short video about the programme can be found here
Interested mentors can register here or contact Liz Stewart at firstname.lastname@example.org Potential mentors should register as soon as possible, as you will need to be taken through a PVG check and provided mentor training, well before the start of the Challenge.

– Thursday the 31st of August (Mentorship training in Edinburgh)
– Tuesday the 26th of September (Green Plan It Challenge Launch and the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh)
