JHplanning and the Improvement Service are running an event covering elements of planning law in Edinburgh on the 3rd of November 2016.
Planning is about the skills associated with placemaking, community engagement, project management and development finance, but it is also about understanding the complex legal framework within which the planning system operates. As we await the Scottish Government’s response to the Planning Review and the inevitable changes in legislation and regulation that will follow, this event looks at some of the key legal issues facing Scottish planning authorities. Although the event takes place within the context of current legislation, speakers will provide comment on any developments that may have emerged in the run up to the forthcoming Planning Bill.
Who Should Come
This event will be of value to public and private sector planning lawyers; public and private sector planners from both development planning and development management backgrounds; and community and voluntary groups. It will also be of interest to developers and other planning advisors.
