At the Cycling Scotland Conference held in Edinburgh on 11-12th November 2015, Transport Minister Derek Mackay announced the launch of the Community Links PLUS design competition.
This collaborative design competition for local authorities and other statutory bodies to conceptualise, design and deliver exemplar, high profile and inspirational cycling projects in Scotland will focus on proposals that help to restore balance in our streets in favour of pedestrians and people on bicycles through road space reallocation, removal of parking, segregated and/or protected cycle lanes and other interventions.
You can download the following competition documents, Community Links PLUS – Partner Brief and Community Links PLUS – Expression of Interest below:
These documents provide information on the Community Links PLUS process and a short form for you to complete to submit your expression of interest by Monday, 30th November 2015.
Transport Scotland and Sustrans encourage applications that reflect community demand for active travel projects across all sectors of society including health, housing, transport, environment, communities, education, regeneration and economic development. Community Links Programme has already enabled some fantastic projects and the competition offers opportunities for further exciting and visionary proposals.
