Call for submissions: Scotland’s Year of Coasts and Waters

This year the LIS is celebrating Scotland’s Year of Coasts and Waters and as ever, we are hoping to highlight some of the amazing work our members are doing to help preserve and enhance Scotland’s coasts and waterways. In 2020, Scotland’s Coasts and Waters will be celebrated with a programme of activity designed to inspire both visitors and locals to explore and experience our unrivalled shores.

Over the summer, we would like to run a social media showcase of some excellent examples of landscape architecture connected to Scotland’s coasts and waters. This will involve putting a daily spotlight on projects around Scotland, including highlighting the practice that worked on each project and publishing a short blurb along with it. This will go out to anyone who follows the LIS on social media and will allow practices to showcase some of their excellent work on water focused and coastal projects. We will be linking back to the practice websites of all participating practices.

In order to run this project, we require submissions from practices keen to publicise their work. If your practice has done excellent work that you feel would be appropriate for this showcase, please send over two images of the project and a blurb of no more than 300 words by the close of play on the 30th of April to mail.scotland@landscapeinstitute.org
